Jackie is a passionate and hardworking junior at James Madison University pursing double majors in Corporate Communications and Spanish. She hopes to use her skills in media arts and foreign language to help further develop communications for a company. Jackie enjoys working in a team environment as well as challenging herself to do the best possible job.

  • Conducted demographic research, created a brochure, and connected with contacts for a semester long advertising campaign for a local non-profit agency called Cat’s Cradle to raise awareness for importance of spay and neuter and was account exectuive.
  • Developed, filmed, edited and produced a short video as well as an audio clip.

  • Created video news releases, news releases, speeches, and feature stories.
  • Designed a magazine cover as well as advertisments using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Designed layouts for high school yearbook using Adobe InDesign.
  • Became familiar with and used social media tools such as wikis, blogs, podcasts and social networking sites.

Other Experience:

  •       Summer Semester Abroad in Salamanca, Spain

Studied intensive courses in Spanish grammar and conversation, civilization, and short stories. Travelled to different Spanish cities as well as Portugal and France, where Jackie adapted to the language barrier. Actively used Spanish language in the Spanish cities as well as with placement family, and adjusted to the Spanish culture.

  •       Resident Advisor

Jackie developed leadership skills as well as responsibility as she was a role model for 25 freshman females. She developed programs that provided information to her residents about the campus and its resources. She maintained a tight budget and preformed administrative duties
